POSITION TITLE: Science Teacher
ASSIGNMENT: Mexico Middle School
CERTIFICATION: Valid NYS Certification
START DATE: September 2024
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid NYS Certification as a Science Teacher (Biology 7-12 & General Science 7-12)
- Strong commitment to children
- Understanding of effective classroom instruction
- Ability to maintain a positive learning environment
- Knowledge of New York State Common Core Learning Standards and Next Generation Science Standards
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Such alternatives to the above as the Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
- Probationary appointment
- Full-time, 10-month position
- Salary and benefits as per MACSFA contract
