POSITION TITLE: Personnel Assistant
CURRENT ASSIGNMENT: District Office
CERTIFICATION: Civil Service - Competitive Class
START DATE: As soon as possible
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
This position involves responsibility for performing a number of personnel-related tasks. The employee is assigned to employee benefits (health, retirement, flex plan, etc.) with full responsibility for routine transactions in this area, including correspondence, record keeping, preparation of reports, and answering employee inquiries concerning benefits. Other responsibilities include creating and maintaining large files, onboarding employees, appointment letters, etc. The ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing is important.
- Completion of 60 credit hours at a regionally accredited or NYS registered college, university, or business school; OR
- Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma and two years of clerical experience; OR
- An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of A and B above.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
- Full-time, probationary appointment
- 12-month position
- $45,531.00 per year
- Benefits as per contract
- Hours: 8:00am - 4:00pm
