POSITION TITLE: Typist
ASSIGNMENT: Mexico Middle School – Pupil Services
CERTIFICATION: Civil Service – Competitive
START DATE: As Soon As Possible
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduation from High School or equivalency diploma
- Minimum of one year’s experience in clerical position involving keyboarding
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally, and in writing
- Ability to deal effectively with the public
- Ability to set up forms, charts, and tabular listings
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to organize and maintain records and files
- Managing sensitive information with a high level of discretion and confidentiality
- Knowledge of office terminology, practices, and procedures
- Knowledge of Business Math and English
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
- Full-time, probationary appointment
- 12-month position
- Hours of work: 7:30am-3:30pm
- $35,873.00 per year (2025-2026 school year)
- Benefits as per contract
