POSITION TITLE: Special Education Teacher
ASSIGNMENT: New Haven Elementary School
CERTIFICATION: Valid NYS Certification
START DATE: September 2026
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid NYS Certification: Special Education, Students with Disabilities (Grades 1-6), Students With Disabilities (All Grades)
- Strong commitment to children
- Ability to maintain a positive learning environment
- Knowledge of New York State Learning Standards and understanding of effective classroom instruction
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Alternatives to the above as the Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
- Full-time, probationary appointment
- 10-month position
- Salary and benefits as per MACSFA contract
