ANTICIPATED VACANCY NOTICE

POSITION TITLE: Speech and Language Pathologist
ASSIGNMENT: Districtwide
CERTIFICATION: Valid NYS Certification
START DATE: September 2026
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid NYS Certification: Speech and Language Disabilities (All Grades)
- Knowledge of New York State Learning Standards and understanding of effective classroom instruction
- Strong commitment to children
- Experience working with Special Education students in general education classrooms
- Experience providing standardized assessments for language, articulation, fluency, and AAC
- Experience providing speech-language therapy services for a variety of disorders and needs
- Experience with therapy and programming of AAC devices
- Knowledge of writing IEPs and goals
- Knowledge and experience with childhood communication disorders
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Thorough knowledge of child growth and development
- Ability to maintain a positive learning environment
- Alternatives to the above as the Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
- Probationary appointment
- Full-time, 10-month position
- Salary and benefits as per MACSFA contract
