ANTICIPATED VACANCY NOTICE

POSITION TITLE: Hourly Cleaner (12-month)
CURRENT ASSIGNMENT: Palermo Elementary School
Hours: 8:00PM-11:00PM (School Year)
CERTIFICATION: Civil Service - Labor Class
START DATE: September 2026
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalency
- Moderate to heavy lifting required
- Knowledge of building cleaning practices, supplies, and equipment
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Willingness to perform routine cleaning and other manual tasks
- Ability to work independently
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
- Probationary appointment
- 10-months on 2nd shift (during school year)
- 2-months on full-time, 8-hour shift (during summer break - hours to meet district needs)
- Hours may vary per supervisor’s discretion to meet district needs
- Job specifications as per civil service and district job description
- $19.58/hour
