POSITION TITLE: Instrumental Music Teacher
ASSIGNMENT: Mexico Middle School (5th & 6th Grade)
START DATE: September 2025
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid NYS Certification in Music (K-12)
- Knowledge of New York State Common Core Learning Standards
- Strong commitment to children
- Understanding of effective classroom instruction
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Thorough knowledge of child growth and development
- Ability to maintain a positive learning environment
- Strong background in woodwind or percussion preferred
- Such alternatives to the above as the Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
- Full-time, probationary appointment
- 10-month position
- Salary and benefits as per MACSFA contract
