POSITION TITLE: Music Teacher
CURRENT ASSIGNMENT: Mexico Middle School
CERTIFICATION: Valid NYS Certification
START DATE: September 2026
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid NYS Certification in Music (K-12)
- Knowledge of New York State Learning Standards
- Strong commitment to children
- Understanding of effective classroom instruction
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Thorough knowledge of child growth and development
- Ability to maintain a positive learning environment
- Strong background in piano preferred
- Experience in vocal music instruction, including planning and delivering choral/vocal music programming for assigned grade levels preferred
- Such alternatives to the above as the Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
- Full-time, probationary appointment
- 10-month position
- Salary and benefits as per the MACSFA contract
