MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Valid NYS School Counselor Certification
  • Strong commitment to children
  • Provide individual and group counseling to high school students
  • Provide support to the Building/District TCIS and Crisis Response Teams
  • Provide mandated individual and group counseling
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  • Preferred experience working with secondary level students
  • Strong ability to collaborate with teaching teams and provide guidance on social and emotional wellness
  • Strong commitment to establishing positive relationships with community agencies to support students and families
  • Provide social emotional learning opportunities to all students
  • Experience with scheduling and strong technological skillset
  • Such alternatives to the above as the Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable

 

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

  • Full-time, probationary appointment
  • 10-month position
  • Salary and benefits as per the MACSFA contract

  1. Valid NYS Certification: Special Education, Students With Disabilities (All Grades), or Students with Disabilities Generalist (Grades 7-12)
  2. Strong commitment to children
  3. Demonstrated ability to provide leadership in the development of intervention programs, writing individualized education programs, and monitoring student progress
  4. Experience with a behavioral approach to teaching and learning
  5. Ability to maintain a positive learning environment
  6. Knowledge of New York State Learning Standards and understanding of effective classroom instruction
  7. Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills

CERTIFICATION:              Civil Service - Labor Class

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Graduation from high school or equivalency diploma
  • Ability to follow oral and written directions

PRIMARY WORK ACTIVITIES:

  • Supervise recreation, meal periods, bathrooms, hallways, and study halls
  • Guide students safely across street
  • Assist students with small tasks
  • Maintain order in gymnasiums, locker rooms
  • Oversee students passing between classes and on premises before and after school, check passes

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

  • Full-time, probationary appointment
  • 10-month position
  • $20,832.00 per year
  • Benefits based on CSEA contract
  • 7:15AM – 3:00PM (Hours may vary based on supervision needs)
