POSITION TITLE:                    Long-Term Substitute Cleaner

CURRENT ASSIGNMENT:     Mexico Middle School

CERTIFICATION:                    Civil Service - Labor Class

START DATE:                           As Soon As Possible

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalency
  • Moderate to heavy lifting required
  • Knowledge of building cleaning practices, supplies, and equipment
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions
  • Willingness to perform routine cleaning and other manual tasks
  • Ability to work independently

 

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

  • Full-time, temporary appointment
  • Length of appointment to be determined
  • 2nd shift position (3:00pm-11:00pm)
  • $16.00/hour
  • Hours may vary per supervisor’s discretion to meet district needs
  • This position may require employee to work other buildings to meet district needs

  • Valid NYS School Psychologist Certification
  • Knowledge of Individualized Education Programs and 504 Accommodation Plans
  • Thorough knowledge of child growth and development
  • Strong commitment to children
  • Experience creating functional behavior assessments and behavior intervention plans
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills

 

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

  • Full-time, probationary appointment
  • 10-month position
  • Salary and benefits as per MACSFA contract

CERTIFICATION:              Valid NYS Certification                                                 

START DATE:                     September 2026

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Valid NYS Certification: Special Education, Students With Disabilities (All Grades), or Students with Disabilities Generalist (Grades 5-9)
  2. Strong commitment to children
  3. Demonstrated ability to provide leadership in the development of intervention programs, writing individualized education programs, and monitoring student progress
  4. Experience with a behavioral approach to teaching and learning
  5. Ability to maintain a positive learning environment
  6. Knowledge of New York State Learning Standards and understanding of effective classroom instruction
  7. Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  8. Such alternatives to the above as the Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable
