POSITION TITLE:              Senior Typist

ASSIGNMENT:                    Mexico Middle School

CERTIFICATION:               Civil Service - Competitive

START DATE:                       As Soon As Possible

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Graduation from High School or equivalency diploma
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in clerical position involving keyboarding
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally, and in writing
  • Ability to deal effectively with the public
  • Ability to set up forms, charts, and tabular listings
  • Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
  • Ability to organize and maintain records and files
  • Ability to support purchase order processing and basic budget management tasks
  • Managing sensitive information with a high level of discretion and confidentiality
  • Knowledge of office terminology, practices, and procedures
  • Knowledge of Business Math and English
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

 

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

  • Full-time, probationary appointment
  • 12-month position
  • 7:00am-3:00pm, Monday through Friday
  • $42,172.00 per year
  • Benefits as per contract

CERTIFICATION :                    Civil Service - Labor Class

START DATE:                             As soon as possible

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Moderate to heavy lifting required
  • Knowledge of building cleaning practices, supplies, and equipment
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions
  • Willingness to perform routine cleaning and other manual tasks
  • Ability to work independently

 

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

  • Full-time, probationary appointment
  • 12-month, 2nd shift position
  • $40,395 per year
  • 2nd shift differential
  • Benefits as per CSEA contract
  • Job specifications as per civil service and district job description
  • Hours may vary per supervisor’s discretion to meet district needs
  • This position may require employee to work other buildings to meet district needs
